About Me

Hello! I am the founder and Executive Editor of TechGeek and completing my Bachelor of Software Engineering degree at Monash University Clayton.

Known for its colourful flair, TechGeek is a blog covering technology, gaming and geek culture. It aims to provide insight on the major tech stories and bring attention to stories underreported by the other technology press. In its eight years, the site has become one of the leading independent technology blogs in the country. TechGeek won the inaugural Best Independent Media award at the Australian IT Journalism Awards (known as the Lizzies) in 2013. It has also been nominated Best Website for three consecutive years (2012 - 2014) alongside with the Sydney Morning Herald, CNET and Gizmodo Australia.

In addition to my role on TechGeek, I am the Secretary (2014 - present) of WIRED Monash, the IT student society at Monash University Clayton; one of the co-organisers of UNIHACK, a hackathon open to all Australian university and TAFE students in my hometown Melbourne; and a member of Monash University's CySCA team in 2013 and 2014. In the 2014 competition, my team "Damn The 20 Char Lim" placed 14th out of 55 teams.

I also dabble in web design and development. While most of my work focused on developing and designing the TechGeek site and feature/longform articles, I have also designed websites for friends (as seen in my portfolio).
